19 Posted October 24, 2022 I'm having a confusion about idle temperatures on my Ryzen 7 5700g. They are running from 40C to 55C. If I'm doing nothing, and load is 0% on all cores, temperature drops to 40C. But if I use Chrome and Discord at the moment, they ramp up to 55C. NH-D15 with Ryzen 7 5800x Temperature Concerns. So I have a Ryzen 7 5800x (at stock) and I'm cooling it with an NH-D15 but the temperatures are kind of ridiculous. It's in an old case with two "little" fans (front and back, I think they're 92mm). The notoriously inaccurate iCue software reads higher than your number at idle, lower under full load. 70° C is OK for the CPU. 40° C and higher seem a little warm for the other monitor points, but not seriously so.

One is a very high RPM fan (5000 RPM) and the other is a 2000 RPM fan and my processor temperatures are between 45C and 60C for normal computer use like browsing and watching ... The temperature you see in ryzen master really is more of a hotspot temp than it is actual die temp.
